audience questionnaire

I asked questions such as 'what are your reasons for reading' and 'what materials would you like to see in a college magazine' to find out what would make the magazine more appealing to students who are likely to buy it, as i can add the things they would like to see atfer i have ound out what that is.

After this questionnaire i asked the people who participated in it questions to find out their social grades such as 'what car do you/your parents drive?' and 'what jobs are your parents in?'

Stone roses picture analysis

This was a photo taken of the stone roses to promote their album 'The Second Coming' in a magazine, in photo shoots the roses are always represented as having completely different personas, John is the quiet one, Ian the flamboyant one, Reni the relaxed normal one and Mani the Football fan. They have something to appeal to almost everyone and are like that completely by their own doing, although they are sometimes spurred by managers, they are not a band that lets people make choices for them. The songwriter and guitarist John Squires (left) creates all of the album artwork and chooses how the media perceives them in photographs, he obviously thought about the positioning of Ian and himself showing him to be more shy and Ian to be more outgoing and self centred. Ian being the front man has most of the media focussing on him rather than the rest of the band so the public will like to see that Ian is the most noticeable, making more people realise that this picture is of the stone roses. This photograph also shows ian as playful being at the angle he is and almost jumping in front of the rest of the band.

Welcome to my AS media blog, im Tom and this is a blog that shows the progress of making my music magazine in AS media. I am basing the magazine on 'CLASH' magazine and will include music of my taste, such as The Stone Roses, Ian Brown, The Stranglers, The Jam, The Clash, Beady Eye, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, The Sex Pistols, U2, Kasabian, The who, The Kinks, Paul Weller, Bucker T And The MGs, Ocean Colour Scene, etc..
